Project Details
Jim is the story of American conflict journalist James Foley, who was captured by ISIS and publicly executed in 2014. But he was much more than just breaking news story. What we discovered through the filmmaking process was a human being of the highest caliber. He gave his life to tell the stories of Syrian civilians, killed, maimed, and displaced by war. He worked to give marginalized people dignity through empathy. To be asked by Brian Oakes to help do the same for his friend was the truest privilege.
